About me

It all began in the 1990s...

​

When I was 15 years old, my Italian teacher handed my best friend and me a tape after school one day, saying, "You two boys should check this out!"

Curious, we went home to listen to the mysterious, unlabeled tape. What we discovered was the incredible music of the Pat Metheny Group's album Letter from Home, featuring Lyle Mays on keyboards.

That tape transformed my perspective on the piano and left a lasting impression on me as a young boy. It gradually opened my eyes to the world of jazz, leading me to explore the works of artists like Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Michel Petrucciani, and many others.

From 1999 to 2002, I attended the Musica Viva Jazz Workshops in Sondrio. Between 2003 and 2008, I earned a degree in jazz piano from the Civic School of Milan, studying under Paolo Birro and Franco D'Andrea. Before fully embarking on my jazz career, I also completed a Master of Science in Sound Design and Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano.

In August 2013, I obtained a second Master's degree, this time a Master of Arts in Jazz Piano from the Musik Akademie Basel, Jazzcampus.

 

Over the years, I have composed jazz music and performed in various projects with talented musicians across Switzerland, Germany, and Italy. Some of the ensembles I’ve been part of include:
